Guns & Shells for Maine Duck Hunts
We strongly suggest 12 or 10 gauge shotguns with 3", 3 1/2" or 2 3/4" chambers with modified chokes (no full chokes). Shotguns must be plugged to hold no more than three shells, ammunition must be nontoxic shot in either #3, #2 or #1 shot. A cleaning kit is also recommended due to the salt water exposure.

Your Maine Duck Hunting Equipment
Due to the Maine weather you will need camo parkas, 2 pair warm waterproof golves, warm facemask, rain gear, your gun, at least 2 boxes shells per day, hipwaders, chestwaders or waterproof pants along with a camera for those memorable photos for Maine Duck Hunting. Clothes should be suitable for 0° to 50° F.
